Editorial Guidelines
How we ensure ArabLanka remains a trusted bridge between Sri Lanka and the Gulf.
Our Mission
ArabLanka.com is dedicated to empowering the Sri Lankan community in the Gulf region by providing a safe, reliable, and informative digital ecosystem. Our editorial process is built on trust, accuracy, and community relevance.
1. Accuracy and Verification
We strive to provide up-to-date information regarding visas, labor laws, and country regulations. While much of our content is community-contributed, our editorial team periodically reviews core guides and third-party news sources to ensure high standards of accuracy.
- Official Sources: We prioritize information from embassies, government portals, and established news organizations (Khaleej Times, Gulf News, Daily Mirror, etc.).
- Community Wisdom: Q&A and forum posts are marked as community-generated. We encourage users to upvote helpful and accurate answers.
2. Job Listing Transparency
ArabLanka acts as an aggregator and community board. We explicitly mark third-party job listings with a disclaimer. We do not charge fees for job applications and warn our community against any recruitment scams.
3. Community Moderation
To maintain a positive environment, all user-generated content (Matrimony profiles, Classifieds, Q&A) is subject to moderation. We strictly prohibit:
- Hate speech or discriminatory content.
- Spam, phishing, or fraudulent advertisements.
- Misleading information that could harm community members.
4. EEAT (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness)
We believe in the power of lived experience. Our guides are often written or reviewed by Sri Lankans who have lived and worked in the Gulf for years, providing "Expertise" that general travel sites cannot offer.
5. Feedback and Corrections
If you find an error in our content, we want to know. Please contact us at [email protected] with the subject "Editorial Correction".
