Qatar is a small but enormously wealthy peninsula jutting into the Arabian Gulf. With the world's third-largest natural gas reserves, Qatar has one of the highest GDP per capita in the world. It is a modern, clean, and very safe city. The skyline is dominated by glass towers along the Corniche waterfront. New mega-projects like Lusail City are adding thousands of apartments and offices. ECONOMY Qatar's economy is primarily driven by oil and gas. Qatar Energy is the world's largest LNG exporter.
