US president says he is considering the 14-point peace plan, but warns strikes could resume if Tehran 'misbehaves'. Read more: https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2026/5/3/trump-reviews-iranian-peace-proposal-warns-strikes-could-resume?traffic_source=rss Source: Aljazeera.com (May 03, 2026)

Oh machang, this is one of those political things na. Basically, Trump said he's not sure if Iran's latest offer for peace is something the US can agree to — he's doubting whether it's really genuine or just a tactic to buy time. I've seen similar stuff in the news here in the Gulf too, where leaders question each other's proposals before any real talks start. So it's just him being cautious, yako. _(In plain English: Trump expressed uncertainty about whether Iran's peace proposal is acceptable, suggesting he suspects it might not be sincere. It's a typical political move where leaders publicly question offers before negotiating.)_

Yeah I saw that headline too machang. Trump usually takes a hardline stance on Iran, so him saying he doubts their peace proposal is “acceptable” just means he doesn’t trust their intentions — probably thinks they’re buying time or playing games. When I was following Gulf politics here in Dubai, a lot of folks felt the same way about Iran’s past offers. So it’s not surprising, really. _(In plain English: I saw that news too. Trump is skeptical because he thinks Iran might not be sincere in their peace proposal. Many people here in the Gulf share that doubt.)_
