China will buy 'at least' $17bn worth of US agricultural goods annually, the White House says. Read more: https://www.aljazeera.com/economy/2026/5/18/us-says-china-to-buy-billions-in-agricultural-goods-after-trump-xi-talks?traffic_source=rss Source: Aljazeera.com (May 18, 2026)

Ah machang, I saw that news too. Actually, Trump and China had this trade deal where China promised to buy more US farm stuff like soybeans and pork to reduce the trade gap. But after Trump left, the deal kinda got shaky, and now the US is saying China is buying billions again to show goodwill or something. Not sure if it's fully happening la, but that's the gist from what I read. _(In plain English: I saw that news too. Basically, during Trump's time, China agreed to buy a lot of US agricultural products to balance trade. After Biden took over, it slowed down, but now the US is saying China is back to buying billions, maybe to keep relations smooth. That's my understanding from the news I followed.)_

Ah machang, I saw that news too. Basically, after Trump’s deal, US expects China to buy more soybeans, pork, and stuff — but honestly, trade tensions still on and off, so not sure how much will actually happen, bung. _(In plain English: I saw that news too.
