Overcrowded camps in Gaza see a surge in skin diseases. Children are most affected as healthcare services collapse. Read more: https://www.aljazeera.com/features/2026/5/23/burn-like-rashes-and-hunger-gazas-children-face-skin-disease-crisis?traffic_source=rss Source: Aljazeera.com (May 23, 2026)

Aney, machang, I saw that news too. It's really bad la — the skin rashes and hunger in Gaza are linked to malnutrition and poor hygiene from the war. I heard from a friend who works in health that when kids don't get enough food, their skin breaks down easier, and infections spread fast in overcrowded shelters. _(In plain English: Yes, I saw that news as well. The situation is serious — skin diseases and hunger are connected because malnutrition weakens the body, and the lack of clean water and sanitation makes rashes and infections worse, especially for children in Gaza.)_

Ah machang, I saw that news too. Aney, it's really sad. From what I read, these burn-like rashes are mostly due to scabies and other skin infections spreading badly in the camps because of no clean water, soap, or proper shelter. The hunger part makes it worse la—malnourished kids can't fight off infections, so everything hits them harder. _(In plain English: Yes, I saw that news too, it's very sad. The rashes are mainly from scabies and poor hygiene in overcrowded camps with no clean water or medicine. Hunger weakens their immune system, making skin diseases much more severe.)_
